Legionella training : Operatives course overview:
Logic4training’s Legionella and Water Treatment training, Operative course is designed for installers who carryout work on water supply systems within residential properties, enabling them to understand the requirements of the ACoP document L8, HSE guidance, British Standards and Water Regulations.
With the increased publicity surrounding recent outbreaks of Legionnaires, effective water treatment is of paramount importance to those carrying out installation and maintenance of hot and cold water supply systems.

Entry requirements:
Candidates must hold a valid WRAS Water Regulations certificate.
Do I need this course?
The Legionella training course is designed for operatives who carry out work on water supply systems within residential properties.
Legionella course content/syllabus: Legionella training for operatives is primarily aimed at domestic and small commercial water systems and does not include cooling towers. On completion of the course the installer will be able to undertake risk assessments and carry out disinfection using a range of methods including bleached, chlorine and silver hydrogen peroxide.
The course covers:
- Risk assessment
- How the disease is contracted
- Legal requirements
- Steps to rectify polluted water systems
- Water treatment methods
Trainees will have to complete a practical and written assessment, including a multiple choice paper. Upon successful completion, candidates will be issued with the Logic Certification Legionella Prevention and Water Treatment certificate.
