PAT testing training - course information
Logic4training runs the City & Guilds 2377-022, PAT testing training course, aimed at experienced electricians who carry out the inspection and testing of in-service electrical equipment.
The PAT testing training course takes one day, covering practical tests on various appliances. In addition, the regulatory and legal requirments that under-pin the inspection and testing of in-service electrical equipment, are also covered.
At the end of the course candidates will sit a one-hour online assessment, based on a multiple choice format, plus there will be a practical assessment that takes place as part of the course.
The price includes registration with City & Guilds and examination costs.
Guidance documents are provided for use during the electrical course, including the Brian Scadden Guide to Portable Appliance Testing which is despatched before attending the course, this book includes revision tests which should be undertaken before the course to ensure candidates are familiar with the contents. Candidates are also advised to purchase a copy of the IET Code of Practice for the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment and be familiar with its contents as this forms an integral part of the theory training and assessment.
