APL Induction Interview

Description

Our Current New Entrants Gas Approved Prior Learning (APL) training programme is broken down into two sections. The Foundation Course and the ten day APL training programme.

The courses are designed for those who have transferable skills and are familiar with working in related skills areas as well as those who are currently working with a Gas Safe Registered company or person.

To determine which course is most appropriate for you we hold group interview days which are free of charge. Our qualified traininers and assessors can assess and advise which is the most appropriate course for you to begin your pathway into the gas industry and eventually become Gas Safe Registered engineer.

The information we give during our interviews and the advice on which route is better suited for you, the individual, is an honest appraisal of your current skills, knowledge and understanding. This is not only for you the candidate but for the trainers and assessors. The one thing we dont want is for you to find you have been put into a group that exceeds your current ability and you then have difficulty understanding and picking up the course information, therefore struggle and not achieve your objectives.

It is not our policy to take candidates onto course where we find they will struggle. This is for many reasons but the main two are;

1 - You could hold up others on the course as the trainer finds himself spending more time explaining to you than the group as a whole. And we do not want you to feel that you have been cheated out of your hard earned cash that you have paid for the course. That is not the policy of this company as we see you, the individual, as a long term customer and want to retain so you come back to us for any further training needs.

2 - This course is not designed for those with no transferable skills and if you feel you have these skills and limited knowledge & understanding please call for a fair, free interview/appraisal and hopefully we can both work towards you attaining your goals of becoming a registered gas installer.
