Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) electrotechnical assessment

AM2 Electrical course overview:

Logic4training’s Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) assessment is the electrotechnical industry standard assessment for electrical competence, forming an essential part of the electrical Advanced Apprenticeship.

The AM2 electrical assessment takes place only at the Luton centre which is an approved centre under the National Electrotechnical (NET) network.

Course duration: 2 1/2 days

Course cost: £560 + VAT

Entry requirements:

A self assessment checklist MUST be completed before the AM2 assessment can be undertaken. This can be emailed to the candidate by Logic4training or downloaded from the link below.

Do I need this course?

The AM2 assessment is designed for candidates currently undertaking their electrical Advanced Apprenticeship.

AM2 assessment content/syllabus: The AM2 electrical course consists of four assessment areas:

Practical installation (7.5 hours)
Inspection and testing of the installation (3.5 hours)
Fault finding (2.5 hours)
Online theory assessment (1 hour)

Candidates will be expected to install, terminate, connect, inspect, test, commission and diagnose faults in accordance with the installation specification provided by the assessor and in accordance with the relevant statutory and non-statutory regulations on the following:

Lighting and power circuits
A three-phase distribution board and sub circuit
A central heating/sustainable energy system
A safety services circuit and device
A data cabling system

On successful completion, candidates will be issued with a AM2 certificate by NET.

Please note: Candidates attending the AM2 practical assessments must be ready to start promptly at 8.00am.
