Description
Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) is the electrotechnical industry standard assessment for electrical competence and forms an essential part of the electrical Advanced Apprenticeship. This assessment takes place only at the Luton centre which is an approved centre under the NET network and consists of 4 assessment areas
- 1 - Practical installation (7.5 hours)
- 2 - Inspection & testing of the installation (3.5 hours)
- 3 - Fault finding (2 hours)
- 4 - Online theory assessment (1 hour)
Candidates will be expected to install, termintate, connect, inspect, test, commission and diagnose faults in accordance with the installation specification provided by the assessor and in accordance with the relevant statutory and non-statutory regulations on the following
- 1 - Lighting & power circuits
- 2 - A three-phase distribution board and sub circuit
- 3 - A central heating/sustainable energy system
- 4 - A safety services circuit and device
- 5 - A data cabling system
A self assessment checklist is required to be completed before the assessment can be undertaken. This can be emailed to the candidate by Logic4training. All tools, test equipment and books are provided by the Logic4training for the candidates use.
