Logic4training’s Domestic Underfloor Heating training course is designed for experienced plumbing installers looking to add this increasingly popular technology to their offering.

Entry requirements:
To qualify for the underfloor heating course, candidates must have two years plumbing experience or an NVQ/SNVQ level two, plus heat loss and hydraulic heating system design experience.
Do I need this course?
Underfloor heating training is intended for experienced plumbers looking to up-skill to include the design and installation of UFH in their offering.
Underfloor heating course content/syllabus: UFH training provides students with the knowledge to design and install under floor systems in domestic properties. The course is manufacturer neutral and covers all the main UFH types and methods. Training includes regulations, relevant terminology and all the necessary calculations; such as heat loads, pipe length and the selection of an appropriate pump to run the system. The following topics are covered:-
- Introduction to UFH and definitions
- Principles of underfloor heating operation and applications
- Design considerations and sizing of UFH circuits
- Site preparation, material and tools
- Under floor heating installation methods
- Pipework layout and UFH system design
- Commissioning and handover
On completion, successful candidates will be issued with a Logic Certification Domestic Underfloor Heating certificate.
Reading material/text book required?
NB: Logic4training’s underfloor heating training does not cover the heat loss calculations necessary to determine the heating requirement of a property. The Foundation Certificate in Heating and Hot Water Design teaches this element, as well as the application of the CIBSE Heating Design Guide.
