Do I need this course?

Joining the Gas Safe Register is a legal requirement for anyone carrying out gas work in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey. To register as a domestic installer, you must hold CCN1 Gas Safety, plus certification for the appliances you intend to work on.

CCN1 safety course content/syllabus: Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety (CCN1); initial training and assessment, plus four of the following five appliances:

  • CENWAT: Central heating boilers/hot water heaters
  • CKR1: Cookers
  • HTR1: Gas fires
  • CPA1: Combustion performance analysis

Any operative who wishes to undertake CENWAT and/or HTR1 must also hold their CPA1 certificate. Qualifying installers have until the end of March 2012 to complete their CPA1. Visit our ACS blog http://www.logic4training.co.uk/blog/changes-to-acs-make-sure-your-qualifications-are-up-to-date_268.html for more information.

Assessment takes the form of practical tests and written papers. On successful completion, candidates will be issued with Logic Certification certificates in CCN1 Gas Safety and the appliances they have undertaken.
