Entry requirements:

Approved Prior Learning (APL) gas training is designed for students with transferable skills who are familiar with working in related areas, such as plumbing or are currently working under the supervision and training of a Gas Safe Registered company or person. To determine whether candidates are suitable for the APL foundation or APL gas course, Logic4training provides free-of-charge group interview sessions which take approximately two hours. During the interview our trainers assess and advise what the most appropriate route is for each candidate, putting students on the right track to becoming a Gas Safe Registered installer.

Do I need this course?

The APL gas course is for candidates looking to become gas engineers but do not currently have all the skills to undertake ACS training and assessment. Logic4training will determine whether candidates require foundation level training, or can move straight onto the full APL course at the interview stage.

On successful completion of the APL training programme, gas trainees are eligible to take CCN1 gas safety and relevant appliances, necessary for ACS; a pre-requisite of joining the Gas Safe Register.
