Logic4training offers approved prior learning, or new entrants training courses for those candidates with transferable skills looking to become a domestic or commercial gas installer, an electrician or a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).

Logic4training’s gas new entrants training courses

Domestic gas new entrants course: The course is intended for new entrants to the gas industry, who have some approved prior learning, or transferable skills, which can be used in the gas industry. On completion candidates will be ready to undertake the five-day domestic gas ACS assessment.

Commercial gas heating and gas catering new entrants courses: For those new entrants with transferable skills looking to enter the commercial gas industry, Logic4training provides commercial heating and commercial catering approved prior learning training courses. On completion candidates will be ready to undertake the five-day commercial gas ACS assessment.

Foundation gas new entrants courses: Designed to get candidates who have some, but not all of the transferable skills necessary to undertake Logic4training’s domestic or commercial gas new entrants courses, up to the required level.

NOTE: Before any of the APL programmes can be undertaken candidates must have attended the APL Induction Interview during which the trainer will go through the following APL programme details:-

  1. 1 - Candidate entry requirements
  2. 2 - Duration and content of each element
  3. 3 - Training programme and materials
  4. 4 - Building the on-site portfolio
  5. 5 - Returning to undertake ACS
  6. 6 - Becoming Gas Safe Registered
  7. 7 - Costs and payment options
  8. 8 - Skills assessment

Logic4training’s Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) new entrants training course

Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) training course (6020-01) – City & Guilds level three diploma for DEA, allowing successful candidates to assess and issue domestic energy performance certificates. On completion, candidates are automatically registered with the H&VCA, one of the recognised accreditation bodies for domestic energy assessors. Some candidates will be aware that the Government has scrapped Home Information Packs (HIPs) but the requirement still exists for an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to be produced when a property is sold or rented in England and Wales and this must be issued by a qualified and registered Domestic Energy Assessor.
