OFT105E course overview

Logic4training’s oil fired boiler training course is for candidates aiming to become OFTEC registered as domestic light/commercial oil firing tank installation technicians. The course covers the practical elements, regulations and standards applying to domestic oil firing installation and energy conservation measures in buildings. 

The cost of the course includes training, assessment and the certification fee.

Entry requirements

The OFT105E course is best suited to experience installers. Candidates must meet OFTEC entry requirements 1,2 and 3.

The OFT105E training is designed for installers who are aiming to become OFTEC registered as domestic light/commercial oil firing tank installation technicians.

OFT105E Course content

The oil fired boiler course covers the following areas:

  • Oil fired boiler safety requirements
  • Types of oil firing and cooking equipment
  • Oil storage (less than 3500litres)
  • Fuel feed-pipe-work
  • Oil fired boiler flueing and ventilation
  • Boiler changeover
  • Oil fired heating system design, including L1

Reading required?

OFTEC training manuals can be purchased at the centre. There are four training manuals in total which cost £35 each or £140 for all four.
