The Manual Handling Training Course is designed to provide an awareness of the injuries and damage caused by poor manual handling, and the correct techniques required to reduce the likelihood of future problems.

Course content/syllabus

The Manual Handling Training Course includes:

  • The Health and Safety at work Act and other relevant legislation
  • Ergonomics principles applied to: s Manual Handling 
  • Work procedures
  • Work area layout
  • Seated workstation jobs
  • Standing workstation jobs
  • Repetitive strain injury, avoidance of potential injuries
  • Manual handling Operations Regulations (assessments, PPE and mechanical aids)
  • Control strategies

Candidates will be given a Logic4training certificate of attendance
