78% of installers say that they do not feel prepared for the introduction of the Energy-Related Product (ErP) labelling directive which is launching on the 26th September this year. This statistic has come from a new survey conducted by Worcester Bosch Group.   In a study of over 500 installers it has been revealed that there is confusion amongst many as to what will happen when the legislative changes come in. Over 50% of people asked admit that they are unsure which month the new labelling system will come into force.   Despite the trade press’s efforts (you may have read our articles on the subject) many installers are still unsure of what their responsibility will be and how the ErP directive will affect their day to day duties.   With this in mind Worcester have decided to make this week “ErP Week” (June 8 – 12). The manufacturer wants to make things easier for installers by hosting webinars (Online seminars) on the installer section of its website at 1pm and 6pm every day. Each of these sessions will include a live Q & A session, enabling installers to ask live questions.   With the incredible statistic that over 50% of installers don’t realise that it is their responsibility to pass an ErP label on to the end-user after installing a boiler, Worcester hope that this week increases awareness and educates everyone within the trade.   Make sure you join in with the conversation on Twitter.
