A 34-year-old man from Luton has been found guilty and jailed for illegally working in the UK and falsely obtaining construction skills certification cards.
Manjit Multani was investigated by a Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), which later found out he paid someone to sit the health and safety tests required to obtain the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card and Construction Plant Certification Scheme (CPCS) card.
With fraudulent behavior and misused identity documents (fake names) he was able to stay and work on building sites across London and Milton Keynes
As a result, his CPCS card was revoked immediately, he was jailed for 18 months and has been recommended for deportation.
