Logic4training has three different training routes for candidates looking to achieve their NVQ level 2 plumbing qualification who already have some relevant qualifications and/or experience. Before training, we will assess your ability in order to determine which route is right for you.

A Level 2 Plumbing NVQ is a necessary requirement of application for a JIB Plumbing CSCS card, as well as WRAS/WIAPS Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme.

Logic4training delivers the LCL Awards Level 2 Plumbing & Heating Diploma as part of our comprehensive range of plumbing packages. If this has already been achieved, the NVQ element can simply be bolted on, topping up existing skills learnt in the classroom.

We will also need to know any other related qualifications you might hold, including:

  • OFTEC Oil
  • HETAS

Course overview:

Candidates will spend up to two days in the centre where they will receive an introduction to the NVQ, including a briefing session for the portfolio, which will be completed on site – a key part of the NVQ process.

Portfolio: To complete the portfolio, candidates must carry out two witnessed assessments for the installation of a bathroom and central heating/hot water system. These can be logged and uploaded using our e-portfolio platform.

WRAS: A WRAS certificate is an entry requirement for the WIAPS Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme, candidates who don’t already have this can add on for an extra cost (this is a one day, in-centre course).
