Why take-on an apprentice?

Apprenticeships offer a win-win scenario for learners and employers.

Apprentices get to ‘earn while they learn’, and from an employer’s perspective, employing an apprentice costs very little; they must be paid the minimum wage, but the price of training is largely covered:

Large employers pay into the ‘Apprenticeship Levy’. All businesses with a pay bill of more than £3 million pay 0.5% of this bill into the levy automatically, these funds can be used to spend of apprenticeship training.

Smaller businesses pay 5% of the training costs and the rest is topped-up by government.

Apprenticeships provide a unique opportunity to tailor someone to the exact needs of your business and then reap the rewards – an apprentice is far more likely to stay with an employer after training is complete.

Apprentices make a useful contribution to your business from the get-go, with time away from ‘the job’ minimal.

We are likely to do a block-release model, with in-centre training tailored (where possible) to the needs of your business. By completing training in chunks (1-2 weeks at a time), on return to the workplace, your apprentice will have useful skills that can be applied straight away.

Why choose a Logic4training apprenticeship?

Unrivalled experience: We have been training building services engineers for nearly 20 years, covering a wide range of essential qualifications, including Gas ACS, Level 3 electrical qualifications, Smart Metering diplomas and renewable courses.

No term-times: Unlike a college, we are not governed by the academic year, so can start apprenticeships at a time to suit employers.

Complete solution: We will cover all aspects of the apprenticeship in-house, including English and Maths requirements, offering the same levels of educational provision as a college.

Small class sizes: Classroom numbers are kept at a maximum of 8-10 to ensure learners get the best possible training.

Expert trainers: All our trainers are ex-industry; we understand what it takes to run a successful business and this feeds down into the way we deliver our courses.

Recognised qualifications: From industry leading Awarding Organisation, LCL Awards.

Future-proof training: We offer a wide range of upskilling options, including heat pump and commercial gas courses, allowing you to tailor the progression of your apprentice.

Support: Our friendly team will support employers with their part of the apprenticeship bargain to ensure you and your apprentice get the best possible outcome.
