Apprenticeships: A fresh pool of talent awaits YOU this September!

 Aug, 25 - 2014   Apprenticeships

A fresh pool of talent awaits YOU this September!

As many thousands of students, having received their GCSE or A-Level grades this summer, are left to contemplate their future, September could prove a fruitful month for businesses looking to expand!

This glut of school-leavers presents a fresh pool of talent – enthusiastic and motivated; keen to get into the world of work. Government reports suggest more and more young people are favouring the ‘earn while you learn’ route rather than opting for the traditional university path – and it’s hardly surprising.  It is claimed that the average student, starting this autumn, could clock-up debts of £53,000* by the time they graduate!

For the sole trader and smaller heating and plumbing firms, for whom recruitment of skilled-staff could prove too costly, apprentices are a cost-effective means of business expansion. All employed apprentices are entitled to the National Minimum Wage, but some training costs can be covered for apprentices.

The difference with our newly launched apprenticeship programmes is that we put employers in the driving seat, making sure that you gain an employee directly matched to your needs, who has the practical skills and qualifications your company needs now and in the future.

So, if you’re looking to take on new staff, this is the prime time to source an apprentice; an employee who could help ease the work-load as the busy heating season kicks off – someone who can help take your business to the next level, which could mean bigger jobs, bigger contracts and bigger margins!

We are currently running three apprenticeships for Luton-based businesses, alongside our training provider partner, Luton Adult Learning.
