Q: Who needs Legionella training for managers?

Anyone with a duty to manage water safety needs it, including landlords, housing associations, managing agents, local authorities and facilities managers. Under HSE ACoP L8, the responsible person must be competent, and this course provides the evidence of competence duty holders are expected to hold.

The Legionella Prevention & Water Treatment Managers course is a 1-day LCL Awards qualification for people responsible for planning, overseeing and managing the safe installation, control and maintenance of water systems in residential and small commercial properties.

This course is for anyone with legal or organisational responsibility for keeping water systems safe. It focuses on the Legionella risk assessment process and the duties set out in the HSE’s Approved Code of Practice ACoP L8.

Over one day, you’ll learn how Legionella bacteria grow and spread, what the law requires of you, and, most importantly, how to plan and carry out an accurate Legionella risk assessment and keep the records that prove compliance.

What are the entry requirements for the Managers Legionella course?
