BMP1 Gas Boosters Training Course

This course includes training and assessment on BMP1 – Commercial Gas Boosters.

It covers the commissioning, servicing and repair following breakdown of medium pressure commercial gas boosters, associated controls and pipework up to 0·5 bar pressure.

The cost of the course includes training, assessment and certification fee.

Training is not a mandatory pre-requisite to assessment.

Operatives must hold one of the following qualifications:

• Core Commercial Gas Safety (COCN1) or
• Changeover Domestic to Commercial Gas Safety (CODNCO1) qualification

Additionally, operatives must hold ICPN1 if pipework diameter is > 50 mm.

The BMP1 qualification demonstrates that you have the necessary skills and knowledge to safely commission, service, and repair medium pressure commercial gas boosters in non-domestic settings. It is a legal requirement to hold the appropriate ACS certification for the specific gas work you undertake in the UK.

Yes, the BMP1 course can be taken as an initial assessment or as a reassessment for those whose certification is due to expire. Regular reassessment is required to maintain your ACS certification and remain compliant with Gas Safe Register requirements.
