CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers/Hot Water Heaters (CPA1 required)

CKR1 – Cookers

HTR1 – Space Heaters (including Gas Fires and Wall Heaters) (CPA1 required)

DAH1 – Warm Air Heaters

MET1 – Meters

LAU1 – Tumble Dryers

REGT1 – Medium Pressure Meter Regulators

LEI1 – Domestic Gas Fired Leisure Equipment (Appliance range: barbecues, greenhouse heaters, refrigerators, gas pokers, gas lighting and patio heaters)

Operatives must hold a current Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) qualification.

For MET1 operatives must hold either CCN1 , CESP1 or CMA1.

For REGT1 operatives must hold either CCN1 or CMA1 or CMA3 or CMA2LS and MET1 or MET2 or MET3LS.

From Monday 1st September 2022, you have to be be registered with Gas Safe Register and have held your CCN1 for 12 months to add additional appliances to your initial registration. Find out more

The Initial appliances training course covers:

• Installation
• Commissioning
• Servicing and maintenance
• Basic gas safety fault finding

The duration of the course is bespoke to the number of gas appliance modules being undertaken.

Normally there is a 1/2 day training per appliance module.

• Initial assessment and training is £235.00 + vat per appliance
• Re-assessment is £185.00 + vat per appliance

Initial assessment is for operatives who are undertaking a qualification for the first time or have let their existing qualification lapse by more than 12 months.

Re-assessment assessment is for operatives who are renewing an existing qualification up to 12 months after the expiry date of their existing qualification.

Yes, but you can book multiple modules, and they will be covered on separate days.

Absolutely. Logic4training provides appliance-specific training for domestic gas cookers and fires, covering safe installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance. This enables engineers to expand their scope of work and meet Gas Safe registration requirements for cookers (CKR1) and fires (HTR1).

Please keep in mind that you or your engineers must have held their CCN1 for at least 12 months to be able to add these modules.

ACS Gas Safety qualifications must be renewed every five years. Re-assessment can be taken up to six months before the expiry date without losing any validity time (MOT style).
