Gas Safety Week is an annual initiative to raise awareness of gas safety and the importance of maintaining gas appliances. Gas Safe Register coordinates the week; they are the official list of gas engineers legally permitted to work on gas appliances. As a leading training provider, we at Logic4Training are proud supporters of this initiative.
This year’s theme: Every Check Counts
This year, Gas Safety Week runs from September 9 to 15. The theme, “Every Check Counts”, highlights the essential checks that households and businesses should carry out to ensure the safety of their gas appliances, such as getting an annual gas safety check by a Gas Safe registered engineer or knowing what to do in a gas emergency. Every check is crucial and keeps your customers safe from potential gas-related hazards.
Poorly fitted and inadequately serviced gas appliances pose significant risks, including gas leaks, fires, explosions, and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Carbon monoxide is a highly hazardous gas that can cause sudden and lethal poisoning, as it is both odourless and invisible. Therefore, ensuring that your customers know the importance of using a reputable and well-trained professional with a Gas Safe Register ID card is vital.
