Logic4training's City & Guilds 2377 PAT Testing qualification is a recognised standard in PAT testing. It is for experienced electrical installers who wish to carry out the inspection and testing of in-service electrical equipment.

Who is this PAT testing course for?

This training course is for electricians or those with knowledge of electrical installations, appliances and the hazards of electricity who wish to carry out the inspection and testing of in-service electrical equipment. Other people who may look to take this course include business owners, maintenance staff, and H&S managers looking to ensure regulatory compliance and workplace safety through routine electrical inspection.

How is the PAT testing course assessed?

Practical Assessment

This is a 30-minute practical assessment where you will demonstrate your competence in a controlled environment, performing actual tests on various appliances to prove you can apply your skills safely and accurately.

Online Exam

At the end of the course, operatives will sit an online assessment in the format of multiple-choice questions. This ensures a firm grasp of the IET Code of Practice and legal safety requirements.

What are the entry requirements for the PAT testing course?

The PAT testing course is for electricians who are familiar with electrical installations and electrical safety and its associated hazards.

Operatives must provide their date of birth for registration with City & Guilds.

Candidates who have previously gained a City & Guilds qualification must also provide their enrolment number which can be found on existing certificates.
