Logic4training’s COCN1PILS with ICPN1 gas safety assessment combines Core Commercial Gas Safety, Pipework Installer (limited scope) and Installation of Commercial Gas Pipework > 35mm.
The assessment is for experienced operatives who will be installing commercial pipework for the purpose of transporting gas, and covers five core competencies: gas safety legislation, emergency procedures, installation of pipework and unsafe situations.
This course is designed to assess the gas safety competence of an operative through practical and theoretical assessment. The five core competencies covered are: gas safety legislation, emergency procedures, installation of pipework and unsafe situations.
The limited scope core along with ICPN1 is designed for operatives who will be installing commercial pipework >35mm for the purpose of transporting gas. The pipework will be connected to the meter connection and to a separate means of isolation or termination (spade or ECV), the live gas supply must not be connected to an appliance.
The limited scope designation means that this cannot be used to meet the entry requirements for other areas of the ACS scheme.
This gas safety assessment comprises of five core competences:
- Gas safety legislation
- Gas emergency actions and procedures
- Installation of pipework and fittings (up to 28mm in size)
- Identification of unsafe situations and the use of emergency Notices and Warning Labels
- The operation of and positioning of emergency isolation controls and valves
Testing is excluded from this package but can be added by undertaking TPCP1 or TPCP1A.
