Adding onto Logic4training’s existing post-qualification extras, including Checkatrade membership and 12 months’ website design and hosting with some training packages, the business guides deliver step-by-step advice on:

  • Setting up a business
  • Winning work
  • Writing a CV
  • Using social media for business
  • Employing staff
  • Building a website
  • And more!

Mark Krull, Managing Director at Logic4training, says: “Most tradespeople feel confident with the practical side of the job, but often come unstuck when it comes to things like administration, tax, marketing and even getting paid. That’s one of the reasons why we have focussed on strengthening our wrap-around support beyond the training experience, ensuring that not only do our candidates thrive in the learning environment, but they also have a successful career.”

Net zero needs successful plumbing and heating engineers

The skills shortage is one of the biggest threats to Net Zero 2050. According to government figures, approximately 300,000 more skilled workers are required close the gap and meet building decarbonisation targets.

Mark continues: “At this critical point, we cannot afford to let skilled workers fall through the cracks. New plumbers, gas engineers and heating and hot water installers are urgently needed to meet current and future demand for low-carbon heating. We recognise that being trained and qualified in a skilled trade is just the start – achieving business success requires so much more. Our business guides will help new entrants thrive in the workplace and make a valuable contribution to the sector.”

Logic4training delivers new entrant training programmes for plumbing, gas engineering, heating and hot water installation and domestic electrical work.
