Achieving the City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (5357) is the milestone that takes you from improver to fully qualified electrician. It replaces the long-standing 2357 NVQ, which closes to new registrations on 31 October 2026.
Like the 2357 before it, the 5357 is assessed primarily through evidence of your real work on site rather than in a classroom. You build a portfolio proving you can install, maintain and repair electrical systems safely in industrial, commercial and residential environments.
It is the final bridge to the ECS Gold Card, completed alongside the AM2 Assessment, which remains the final requirement for occupational competence and is delivered by National Electrotechnical Training (NET).
At Logic4training, our electrical team guides you through the portfolio build from your first profiling session, making sure your evidence meets City & Guilds standards first time.
This qualification is also available as part of our Platinum Electrical Training Package.
