Introducing Niman — formerly a London private hire driver, now building a new future in Gas Engineering through our Gas Managed Learning Programme.

Course Highlights

Niman enjoyed the practical part of the training the most, particularly working on boilers and appliances. He has also gained confidence learning new calculations essential for his engineering training.

Training Centre & Staff

Niman found the staff at Logic4training nice and helpful, and the training centre clean and accommodating:

“The staff are really nice and helpful. The training centre is clean, nice, there are facilities for tea, coffee, biscuits. I like the environment, it’s appealing.””

Due to his positive experience on the course, Niman recommends the course to his friends and family.

Career Prospects

With the course complete, Niman is now building his gas portfolio before taking his ACS assessment – the final step to becoming Gas Safe registered and starting his new career as a qualified gas engineer.

By becoming Gas Safe registered, Niman will be able to legally work as a gas engineer across the UK – installing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances with confidence.

If you’re considering a career in gas engineering, it’s helpful to understand the average hourly rate for gas engineers and how pricing structures work. Similarly, those in the plumbing sector can explore the typical hourly rates for plumbers to gauge their potential earnings.

Why chose Logic4training?

Previously being a Private Hire driver in London, Niman sought a more secure career and believes that Logic4training’s Domestic Gas Heating Installer Experienced Trades Route (Gas Managed Learning Programme) offered that opportunity.

We offer tried and tested LCL Awards qualifications for our MLP students, ensuring they receive industry-recognised training that meets the highest standards. Our expert trainers provide guidance in both the workshop and the classroom, making the learning process smooth and effective.

Our Domestic Gas Heating Installer Experienced Trades Route is designed for individuals like Niman who have prior experience in related trades.

If you have no prior experience, we recommend starting with our Domestic Gas Heating Installer (DGHI) New Entrants route,  a 4-week course covering the basic principles of gas heating and plumbing, designed to prepare you for the Gas Managed Learning Programme. These courses provide you with a clear path into the gas industry, with options to upskill in areas such as domestic appliances, commercial gas, LPG, and heat pumps.

FAQ

How many people are on each course?

We keep our classes small, with no more than 10 learners, so you receive more personal attention and time with your trainer.

Can I do this course on Weekends?

Yes, you can complete both the Domestic Gas Heating Installer New Entrants and Experiences Trades Route on weekends at our Northolt centre. These courses take approximately 3 months to complete.

Is this qualification recognised by Gas Safe?

Yes, completing this course and passing the ACS assessment enables you to apply for Gas Safe registration, which is legally required to work as a gas engineer in the UK.

Does the MLP course include Hot Water Systems and Energy Efficiency training?

Yes, selected MLP training packages cover these areas. As not all providers include them in their packages, it’s worth checking what is covered before choosing a course.

Do I need to buy my own textbooks?

Logic4training provides all reading materials and textbooks on your first day; however, we recommend bringing pens, highlighters, and sticky notes for taking notes and highlighting key information.
