Add LPG. Widen your work. Keep it safe.
LPG opens up park homes, marinas, caravan sites and rural properties that natural gas engineers never see. The changeover is short, and the categories that follow are quick to add once you hold it.

LPG courses explained.
Adding LPG to your ticket? These answers explain the changeover and the categories that sit on top of it.
LPG is a fuel changeover that sits on top of your existing competence rather than replacing it, and your Gas Safe registration is updated accordingly.
The changeover and categories package bundles them together.
For example, to work on an LPG cooker on a boat you would need core domestic gas safety (CCN1), cookers (CKR1), the LPG changeover (CONGLP1) and the boats and yachts category. The LPG element proves fuel competence; the appliance category proves competence on the appliance itself.
You also need to be Gas Safe registered and to have held your ACS for at least 12 months before taking the changeover. Not sure which combination you need? Speak to our team and we will map it against the certificates you already hold.

You can be reassessed up to six months early without losing any validity. The remaining time carries over onto your new certificate. Because LPG sits on top of your core competence, your underpinning core certificate (CCN1, COCN1 or CCCN1) needs to stay in date too, so most engineers renew both together. Bring your existing ACS certificates with you as evidence on the day.
Renew via the CONGLP1 changeover course or the changeover and categories package if you also hold park homes, boats, leisure vehicles or closed flue categories. If your certificate has already lapsed, call us before booking. Depending on how long it has been expired you may need to sit the initial assessment rather than a reassessment.
For example, the LPG Training Course For Residential Park Homes is priced at £70 + VAT.
We also offer finance and pay-in-instalments options, so speak to our team about the best route for you.
If you are not yet registered, the route in is a core gas safety qualification first. Our new entrant gas engineer packages take you from no experience through to ACS assessment, and LPG can be added afterwards.
