Apply

ECS Gold Card

Once you have your NVQ Level 3, AM2 certificate, and 18th Edition, you can apply via the ECS portal. This card grants you "Gold Card" status, which is often a requirement for higher pay grades and access to major commercial and industrial sites.

After 12 months

Periodic Inspection

This must be taken after at least 12 months of real-world experience. Once you have consolidated your skills on-site, you can progress to Periodic Reporting. This allows you to inspect existing installations and report on their continued safety.
